By Michael Phillips | Riptide News Desk

The missing weapons systems officer (WSO) from the downed F-15E Strike Eagle has been located alive inside Iran, according to emerging reports, after hours of uncertainty following the aircraft’s crash.

Located While Evading Capture

The WSO was reportedly found in Iran’s Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province, where he had been evading capture as Iranian forces and civilians searched the area.

Early reports suggest the airman remained on the move while awaiting recovery.

Reports of Recovery

Some accounts now indicate the WSO has been successfully recovered by U.S. forces following a rapidly developing search-and-rescue effort. However, official confirmation remains limited, and details of the operation have not been fully released.

Conflicting Information

Information surrounding the recovery remains fluid, with varying reports on the timing and conditions of the rescue. U.S. officials have not yet publicly confirmed the full sequence of events.

What Comes Next

The condition of the WSO and the details of how the recovery was executed are expected to be clarified as more information becomes available.

Further updates are expected.
